17th November 2022 on Zoom
What's it about?
This month we dive into 3D printing!
Quinn Damerell – Enabling OctoPrint for 3D Printing Everywhere:
The rise of 3D printing created a rise in IoT-based devices and open-sourced software used to control them. OctoPrint is by far the most commonly used local 3D printer control software, typically run on a raspberry pi plugged into the printer.
OctoPrint is amazingly powerful, but that power was constrained only to the LAN network, until OctoEverywhere.
Quinn will talk about his wild ride prototyping, developing, and running OctoPrint’s most popular remote access service, http://OctoEverywhere.com.
Deep dive into the global server mesh network designed to achieve the lowest possible latency and learn about OctoEverywhere’s newest feature, AI failure detection, which can process over 3 million images daily and is provided as a free service to the community.
