This month we get a history of IoT from Laurent Ellerbach!
Laurent Ellerbach – My Internet of Things Journey:
Laurent Ellerbach will share his Internet of Things (IoT) Journey through concrete examples he has been implementing over years in his house and for his own usage.
This will cover a vast set of technologies from Arduino, .NET nanoFramework, .NET IoT, Home Assistant, Bot Framework, Azure IoT and other Azure services and a lot of homemade hardware and hacking!

About Our Speaker:
Laurent Ellerbach is Principal Software Engineer Manager at Microsoft. He is working for 25 years in Microsoft and loves technologies especially anything related to Internet of Things (IoT). In his current role, he is helping customer in the manufacturing and automotive industry to transform to the Cloud by co-engineering with those customers on the latest Azure technologies.
Laurent is also a core contributor of .NET IoT (https://github.com/dotnet/iot/) and .NET nanoFramework (https://www.nanoframework.net/), part of the core team for both project, one managed by Microsoft, the other one fully community driven.
Laurent is a big fan of Lego, owning hundreds kilos of Lego and thousands of official Lego set. He is as well a Lego® Serious Play® facilitator. This methodology allows to solve complex problems in a fun way buy building with Lego bricks. He is using it internally at Microsoft in various workshops.
Laurent always mix his passions and work, so he is using has house as an environment to implement in production new technologies. And reuse this in his job.

This month we’ll be back on Zoom.
We’ll be kicking off at 18:30 for an open networking chat on Zoom, before kicking our talk off at 7PM.

We’ll be password protecting the meetup to help prevent “ZoomBombing”. We’ll be sending out an email to people that have RSVP’d around 5.30pm UK Time on the day, so make sure to check your emails!
